 To Take Advantage Of The Ongoing Expansion Of Mtwara Port, Dangote Cement in Tanzania intends To Boost Output By More Than 30% In The Next Years.

With the expansion of its cement production from the present 1.8 million tonnes per year to 2.4 million tonnes per year, the Mtwara plant anticipates using the modernized port to convey its consignment, which will be linked with the Dar es Salaam port.

The factory has an installed capacity of 3.0 million tonnes of cement per year, which is more than enough to meet demand.

The plant at Mtwara, which is around 400 kilometers from Dar es Salaam, was completed in late 2015 and is the country's largest cement factory by capacity.
