Rising Kannywood actress Hauwan Ayawan popularly known as Azeema Gidan Badamasi in Arewa24's long-running show 'Gidan Badamasi' has revealed how she became famous at the same time in the industry. In an interview with the Daily Trust, the Kaduna State-born actress said she never knew that one day she would be so famous even though she had developed a passion for film since she was a child. The actress thanked God for the step she took in the industry because she said she never thought she would be able to reach her destination in such a short time.

"My name is Hauwa Ayawa and I am better known as Azeema Gidan Badamasi in the film industry. This is the name I got as a result of my role in the long-running ‘Gidan Badamasi’ program on Arewa24.“I was born in Kaduna North, Kaduna State. I attended primary school in Kaduna State. I went to GGUSSS Kwatarkwashi Girls' High School in Zamfara State and later attended Computer Science School. However, I intend to continue my studies at the university. 

"I have always loved filmmaking because I was born a producer. I grew up watching movies in our house. I was joined by one of the industry's top directors, Muhammed Alfa Zazi, who later became a filmmaker in Kannywood and has been involved in a number of roles ever since.

"It was at the set of a film that I met the director of Badamasi, Falalu Dorayi, who noticed my performance and asked me to put him on a long-distance project. That's how I got Azeema's place at Gidan Badamasi. "

Commenting on the situation she found herself in on her first day of filming, Azeema said: “Honestly, I surprised many of my colleagues because they all thought I was used to making films. I was told that I had tried so hard as I had been filming for a long time, and even the director of the film praised my efforts.

I didn’t feel as nervous as others; I tried to balance myself because I already knew how to do it and in an hour, I did everything right. ”"My first film was 'Musaddiq', it was directed by Mustapha M Sharif and this was my first foray into 'Karar Kwana'. It was a film that made me happy because I was given the opportunity despite the big names in the film and that gave a lot of directors confidence in me. ”She has also revealed that she has appeared in at least 25 films and is doing so. Regarding whether she was satisfied with what she was hearing from the audience about her dance, Hauwa said: “I am satisfied and my dream has come true.

"You see, I haven't been in the film industry for a long time but thank God, I've reached a level I never thought I would reach in such a short period of time. To put it bluntly, I never knew I would be so famous in such a short time, thank God! ”
