President Muhammadu Buhari Says that he will "create history like no other in Nigeria."
President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that he intends to achieve an unprecedented record in Nigeria before the end of his tenure in office. Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that he intends to leave a legacy before leaving down from his position as head of state. According to a story in the Leadership newspaper, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari claimed on Thursday that he would close the country's infrastructural gap before stepping office.
Additionally, in his speech, he stated that the cash borrowed by his government would be used to conduct initiatives that would help to lower the country's infrastructure deficit. At the Legacies of Legend exhibition and book launch in Abuja, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, President Muhammadu Buhari's Chief of Staff delivered remarks at the premiere of Dr. Bamanga Tukur's biography, which was organized by the African Chamber of Commerce and published by the African Development Bank.
Gambari also praised Tukurvya for its role in forgiving debts owed by African countries but voiced worry that earlier obligations had not been repaid in a timely and appropriate fashion. "Our president is determined to accomplish these projects and ensure that, before he leaves office, the rising infrastructure deficit in Nigeria is greatly reduced under his supervision before he leaves office."He recalled Tukur's contribution to the effort to obtain debt relief for Africa, saying:
The efforts of Bamanga Tukur and Tony Blair of the African Union Commission in 2004/2005, which resulted in an important decision at the 2005 G8 summit on debt relief for 32 African countries, came to my attention near the conclusion of my tenure there. Prior to then, most poor African countries spent a significant portion of their available resources to service debt.
