Nigerian Government Increases Electricity Fee Price

The federal government has announced an increase in the cost of three-line power meters, which will take effect from November 15. She made the announcement in a letter dated November 11, 2021, Punch reported. The announcement was made by the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission to all senior managers, power companies, and all meter regulators. The announcement numbered NERC / MAP / GEN / 751/2, carried the theme ‘Review on the price of electric meters under the national meter control system’.
The commission has increased the frequency of the electricity bill which will take effect from November 15. Currently, the price of a one-line meter has gone up from N44,896.17 to N58,661.69, while a three-line meter has gone up from N82,855.19 to N109,684.36.
