 LEADERSHIP TODAY: Who is Nafisat Salisu?

 NAFISA SALISU: I was born in a neighborhood in Kano and attended primary and secondary school at Excellence Classic College in Hotoro area, although my parents are not from Kano State, they are from Kogi State.  and business brought them here, and I was an IGALA kid, after I finished high school and I started to get interested in filmmaking where I was successful in 2017, and at the behest of my parents.

 LEADERSHIP TODAY: Through whom did you enter the Kannywood industry?

 NAFISA SALISU: Yes, first of all, Ali Gumzak started putting me in the Kannywood industry because we chatted with him on Facebook and I showed him my interest in joining the Kannywood industry.

 LEADERSHIP TODAY: What challenges did you face on your first entry?

 NAFISA SALISU: uhmm (laughs) honestly I have come across sexually promiscuous people.  And anyone who shows this to me as an activist, it is not possible for anyone to show that we have seen what he wants with me.  I am not in this business and my son is not coming to Kannywood.

 LEADERSHIP TODAY: Considering how the industry is now almost completely making a series of films, are you making such films?

 NAFISA SALISU: I am making a long trip to all the fans of THEIR SECRET MEDIA.

 LEADERSHIP TODAY: Usually when a woman is filming she is given a different look or have you experienced this problem?

 NAFISA SALISU: It was not a coincidence but I honestly did not experience it so everywhere you go you will hear me being called the SECRET WOMAN or QUEEN.

 LEADERSHIP TODAY: Is Nafisa married?

 NAFISA SALISU: No I am not married and I have never been but I intend to do it Insha Allahu.

 LEADERSHIP TODAY: Is there any other profession besides filmmaking?

 NAFISA SALISU: I do hairdressing and sewing right and I inherited it from my mother.

 LEADERSHIP TODAY: What will you end up with?

 NAFISA SALISU: Finally, I would like to thank my master, Maje El-Hajeej Hotoro, who introduced me to the world, taught me journalism, and put me in the film The Secret Woman in spite of criticism and jealousy.  I would not have directed the film.  He never showed any interest in sex with me, he took me as his sister and helped me get to where I never thought I would in life, I know many people because of him.

 I also wish my loved ones well and appeal to rising heroes like me especially as some are being treated unfairly I mean those who have been in this industry for a long time because shame is not a good thing and even if you are now  It is better to have something that one remembers in their time and they have also been accepted as they have retreated then you will return this month and everything that a person does will be done to him and if it is done you will not be happy.  Thanks.
