Stop having children you can't control," actress Nafisa Abdullahi says.

Nafisa Abdullahi, a Kannywood film star, has urged caregivers not to do so. On Saturday, she made the remarks in a series of tweets, saying: "Stop having babies you know you can't afford to care for," he advised.

"God will hold people responsible for having children without abdicating their responsibilities."

"You see all the people who give birth to children who do not hear or see in order to send them forth disciples and continue to bear more children, may God reward these children!" says Hausa Film Actress Nafisa Abdullahi.

She was outraged by the manner in which some parents sent their two- to three-year-old children to school.

The star did not name those who warned her, but it is not uncommon for young children to be sent as disciples in Hausa.

According to the BBC, the case has long been a source of frustration for many, particularly because some have accused children of being used as criminals.

The star's remarks, however, elicited mixed reactions, with some praising her and others criticizing her.

M.M. Dambatta, who praised the star, stated: "I'm still baffled as to how a father can send his five-year-old son to look after himself in the name of discipleship. That must be stopped.
