As you may know, security is based on tools. I will work hard with all that Nigeria has to provide security throughout Nigeria.
We have done this in Lagos through other programs, especially our Security Trust Fund, in which we have provided our security officers with the equipment they need, which has helped to provide security in Lagos.
As it can be recalled, when I assumed office in 1999 as the governor of Lagos state, armed men invaded the streets of Lagos, I managed to restore law and order, and overcome the problem that can be said to be a major crisis. This has made Lagos one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria. I will implement this system across Nigeria.
We will improve the welfare and training methods of our security officers and strengthen our security agencies with modern equipment to overcome the challenges of the times we are facing in today's world.
Under my leadership, the Nigerian Army will have skilled workers who will strengthen the soldiers who are currently working.
We will put the same trouser leg with anyone who threatens our peace, security, and unity. I assure you that we will put an end to the kidnapping and murderous crisis, not only by improving the work of the police but also by means of involving everyone, while improving the economy of the nation.
I am assuring you that under my leadership, security will be protected throughout our country, due to the fear of insecurity, there are calls for states to be given the opportunity to establish their own security forces.
I am aware of the position of northern governors and traditional rulers on the issue of state police. But it is good to know that one thing is related to the constitution of the country, such as the change in the governance of the country. Changing the governance of the country means different things to different people, but it is good to know that the purpose of why I want to lead this country is that I believe in its unity and unity, even if these are things that need to be consulted with the stakeholders and parties such as the House of Representatives, Parliament, the Ministry of Justice, state governments, kingdoms and organizations like yours.
I am ready to listen to all the ideas that will help us in taking action that will help our country. We will use the resources we have to provide training tools and improve the welfare of the security forces to protect us. We will continue with the plan to increase the number of our soldiers that will be suitable for our population and the size of our country, and those who will be hired must be experts in every field of security.
