THE IGBOS TRIBAL COMMUNITY RESIDENTS OF KATSINA HAVE TO AGREE ON THE SON OF APC GOVERNOR CANDIDATE DR.DIKKO UMARU RADDA
The Igbo people living in Katsina state have accepted the gubernatorial candidate of the APC party, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, as their favorite candidate for the governorship election in Katsina state in 2023.
The decision follows the decision of the Nd'Igbo leaders of the 19 northern states to identify the governorship candidates of all the political parties in the north of the country to lead the Igbo people in the upcoming elections.
At the meeting, the Nd'Igbo community also awarded Dikko the "Ambassador of Igbos."
Chief Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, who led the Nd'Igbo delegation to Katsina, on the evening of Thursday 29/09/2022, said they decided to support the governorship candidate of the APC party after the committee appointed to carry out the evaluation of all the candidates, with the recognition of Dikko as the most experienced person in the 2023 Katsina governorship election.
Responding, the gubernatorial candidate thanked the Nd'Igbo leaders of the 19 Northern states for his honor and recognition.
“You must have done your homework before deciding to support our candidacy. This decision further confirms my belief that Nigeria will continue to be a united and one country. The only thing I want to tell you is that I want to be the governor for everyone, not the governor for the people who have lived in Katsina for 500 years, all the people who live in our state will choose to ignore them without showing ethnic or religious differences."
"We assure you of your security, the protection of your homes and businesses and the protection of your places of worship. We will ensure justice for everyone because the backbone of every leadership is justice," Dikko confirmed this and wished them well.
