An Accusation of keeping money at home: Governor Ganduje will take legal action against the Sahara Reporters newspaper
The Kano State Government has responded to a report published by Sahara Reporters, which stated that the Governor of Kano, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is one of the three governors who were found in their homes. The Kano State Information Commissioner, Comrade Muhammad Garba, disclosed this in a statement he signed and sent to Kadaura24.
Muhammad Garba said that the story has no basis and no reason, so the community should ignore it.He added that after the announcement by the EFCC on 3 Governors that it said it was keeping an eye on, it did not reveal the names of the Governors.
However, the Sahara Reporters newspaper captured the name of the Governor of Kano, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, which is against the law.
Muhammad Garba said that the newspaper must ask Ganduje for forgiveness for what it published which is not true, where he said if they do not apologize to the governor then they will take legal action against the newspaper.
Muhd Garba said that the Kano state government is one of the few states that can pay salaries, where he heard when Sahara Reporters wrote the story, the government has already started paying workers their salaries for the month of October.
