Amnesty is calling for the release of the student who was arrested after going to the wife of the President of the country, Aisha Buhari.

 Amnesty International has called for the immediate release of Aminu Adamu Muhammed, a 23-year-old student at the Federal University of Dutse, who was arrested by the security forces suspected to be DSS officers.  on the 8th of November, 2022 at midnight, on a message he published on his Twitter page, allegedly insulting the first lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari.

 On the 8th of June, Muhammad posted a picture of Aisha Buhari on his Twitter page, where she is fat in the picture, and he wrote on top of the picture that she is fat with the caption: "Mama eats the poor people's money and is full".

 In a statement sent by Amnesty International to DAILY NIGERIAN, it strongly condemned the arrest of Aminu, saying that his family and friends alleged that he was detained without knowing his whereabouts.  no, with bad beatings, abuse and other types of torture.

 "Since his arrest, no one has been able to see him among his family or his lawyers.

 "There is a strong suspicion that Aminu is being detained by the Nigerian security forces at an unknown location in Abuja.

 "Amnesty International calls on the authorities to release him from illegal detention, and to ensure that all those suspected of torture and other crimes against him are brought to justice," the statement said.
