Gunmen Demand Ransom and Newly Naira Note Money In Nigeria


 The terrorists who kidnapped four people including a man, a woman and two children in Kolo village in Gusau local government in Zamfara state, after abducting the hostages, the bandits demanded a payment of one million naira.  10 with the condition of not accepting the old Naira bills.


 A native of the area, Mohammed Ibrahim, said that the bandits later reduced the ransom to 5 million Naira, where he said that the people of the village have been trying to raise the ransom to release the victims.


 "While we are trying to collect the money requested by the terrorists, they sent another message this morning that they will not accept old Naira notes".


 "They said they will keep the kidnapped people in their camps until the new Naira notes are issued in December," said Ibrahim.


 We contacted the public relations officer of the state police force, SP Mohammed Shehu but to no avail.


 Text messages sent to him have not been responded to as of the time of writing this report.
