Money Changers in Adamawa State Refuse to Accept Foreign Money
Money changers in Adamawa state are refusing to accept foreign currency from customers because of the uncertainty in the virtual market.
Some of the money changers who were interviewed at the Jimeta Zamani Market in Yola, said that they were in a panic because of the sudden and continuous fall of the dollar, which caused the market to collapse.
The head of the Adamawa state money changers association, Lawan Mai Yasin, said that the traders lost a lot of money after they bought a dollar at 870 naira from traders before it immediately fell to N680.
