Nigeria And Mexico Sign A Free Trade Agreement

Nigeria and Mexico have signed a trade agreement between them. Nigeria's state television station NTA reported that the country was the leading importer of fennel leaves in Mexico before they stopped its business in 2017.

Dr Vincent Isegbe, the director general of the Nigerian National Zoological and Plant Protection Agency (NAQS), signed on behalf of Nigeria while Dr Javier Arriaga represented Mexico in Mexico City.

"This agreement will strengthen trade between Nigeria and Mexico," according to Nigeria's Ambassador to Mexico, Rafiu Adejare.

He added that now there are Mexicans who are doing agricultural work in Gombe State which is in the north of Nigeria.
