Over "2300" APC members returned to PDP in Sokoto state.
The Sokoto state governorship candidate in PDP, Saidu Umar, welcomed more than 2,300 APC supporters to his party.
NIGERIA POLITICS reports that the members of the new PDP came from Mainiyo area in Sokoto North Local Government.
Umar welcomed the new members of the party a few days ago at an event to launch the Ubandoma/Sagir Mainiyo market development group.
The candidate for the governorship assured the defectors that they will be held in all the activities of the party especially now that the election campaign has started. He urged them to do more to get support and promote the party and its candidates in their area."
Also, he used the way he asked the people of the state to give another chance to the PDP "to provide good leadership in the next election."
In addition, the holder of the position of the governor said that his government, if elected, will give priority to the youth and women in Sokoto state in the areas of empowerment.
