The deceased who is known as Gogo (that is grandmother in the Kalenjin language) died at the age of 99 on Wednesday in Kenya.
BBC Hausa reported that she is a senior student at Vision Preparatory School in Ndalat town and she is planning to write the primary school graduation exam next year, where she will be 100 years old.
Her grandson, Sammy Chepsiror, told the BBC that Gogo started feeling sick last Wednesday after she returned from school - where she told him her chest hurt.
Several years ago, the deceased was working as a midwife in their village.
