The court Annulled Al-Mustapha's candidacy for the presidency of the party (AA)
"A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to remove the name of Hamza Al-Mustapha as the presidential candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) party in the upcoming 2023 election."
Al-Mustapha won the party's primary election with 506 votes defeating Samson Odupitan who was his only opponent.
"The retired major and former aide to the late Sani Abacha, has been announced as the party's candidate in the AA presidential primaries held on June 9 in Abuja."
