The EFCC Arrested The Money Changer Who Was Interviewed By The BBC On The Price Of The Dollar
Nigeria's anti-corruption agency EFCC has said it has arrested one of the leaders of the Abuja revolutionaries, Mustapha Muhammed, popularly known as Mustapha Naira.
In a statement published on its website, the EFCC said it arrested Mustapha Naira on Saturday, November 12 at the Zone 4 money exchange center in Abuja.
The statement added that the arrest follows the agency's efforts to clean up the currency exchange industry, eliminate speculators and sabotage the country's economy.
She also said that so far the arrested person has provided useful information, while the investigation is ongoing.
This is coming after a conversation that BBC Hausa had with Mustapha about the revival of the naira price against the dollar at the end of last week.
