Sunday at Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley's friends, family, and admirers gathered to pay tribute to the late singer-songwriter and the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
Billy Corgan, Alanis Morissette, Axl Rose, and Priscilla Presley were among those who attended the open memorial service held at Elvis Presley's home in Memphis, Tennessee. The ceremony was broadcast live on Vimeo, where it is still possible to view it.
Following a heart arrest at a residence close to Calabasas, Lisa Marie Presley passed away earlier this month. 54 years old. Her mother, Riley Keough, 33, Harper Lockwood, 14, and Finley Lockwood, 14, are her three surviving daughters. Ben Keough, her son, passed away in July 2020 at the age of 27.

She was aware that time was running out. Survivor's guilt, as some might put it. However, her death was caused by a broken heart. She is now back where she belongs, yet her love breaks my heart. I had told her I cherished her. Though I worry I'll never get close to her, the old spirit is always by my side. She doesn't float overhead. That pretty much sums it up, and I want to thank you all for coming. Lisa, you've broken our hearts. Everyone loves you.
Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins played an acoustic version of "To Sheila" during the service, while Morissette sung her song "Rest" while accompanied by a piano. Rose of Guns N' Roses was one of the day's last artists, and she spoke briefly before delivering an intense piano performance of "November Rain."

Ben Smith-Petersen, Riley Keough's husband, read a statement in her place toward the end of the event. "'Thank you for being my mother in this life,'" he said. "'I will always be happy that we got to spend 33 years together. Since I can remember you, I've been positive that I made the finest mother choice possible for myself. "I remember how it felt to be cherished by the most loving mother I've ever known. I appreciate you demonstrating to me that the only thing that matters in this life is love. I wish I could love my kid the same way you did for me, my brother, and my sisters. I'm grateful that you gave me my heart, my courage, my humor, my manners, my temper, my wildness, and my tenacity. I came from your heart. Your heart gave birth to my sisters. Your heart gave birth to my brother. You are us. You and I are one. Thank you if I didn't tell you every day.
