The NBCUniversal streaming service came out in the summer of 2020 with many movies and TV shows from NBC and Universal's libraries. In January 2021, The Office became the only show that could be streamed on that service. But since there are so many streaming services, it's understandable if you just want to know the basics about Peacock and what you should watch first.
Peacock has three levels of service: free, premium, and premium plus. You may already have Peacock Premium for free if you pay for cable. That's good news because the full library of content is only available in Premium and Premium Plus. And what do you know? There are some pretty good movies to choose from at Peacock. You can stream a wide range of comedies, thrillers, and dramas there. So, we went through the Peacock library to find the best books and list them. NOPE is another masterpiece from Jordan Peele, who is a genius at making scary movies. In the movie, OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) and Em (Keke Palmer) are two siblings who train horses for movies. Jupe (Steven Yeun) runs a theme park and was a child actor who saw something terrible happen. You want to go into this one not knowing much more than that, because the surprise and not knowing is one of the best parts, but trust us: NOPE tackles complex themes with refreshing nuance, and the performances are amazing. – Gates Taylor

In Puss In Boots, Antonio Banderas plays the cute swashbuckling cat he played in the Shrek movies. Even though it's an origin story, the animated movie takes the classic story of the outlaw cat and makes it into a new story. It adds new characters, like the thief Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek), and gives us a better understanding of the main character and his dapper swagger. More well-known fictional characters, like Jack and Jill and the Golden Goose, add to the story. This lets Puss in Boots subvert the fairytale genre by giving these characters more backstories and roles in their own stories. Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis), a former orphan who grew up with Puss and betrayed him in the end, makes a great appearance. – Yael Tygiel

Even though the movie got mixed reviews when it first came out, it has since become a cult favorite and has a well-loved and well-received sequel. We all know and love ABBA's songs, which helps, but the movie's heartfelt story and amazing cast make it easy to overlook its flaws, especially Pierce Brosnan's singing voice. Kristen Wiig plays a single woman in her mid-30s whose best friend, played by Maya Rudolph, is getting married. It's hard to plan the bridesmaid party with the bride's rich new friend, played by Rose Byrne. Bridesmaids is very funny and has a heart that makes the characters real and easy to relate to, especially when it comes to how friendships work. There, she finds her best friends and a support system, including the hilarious and easy-to-quote character Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson). Pitch Perfect is not only a movie about music and female friendships but also a beautiful love story with all the elements of a classic rom-com that leads Beca to her soulmate Jesse (Skyler Austin). Pitch Perfect is a musical comedy about college a cappella groups. It has a great cast, including Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, Broadway star Ben Platt (from Dear Evan Hansen), and singer/songwriter Ester Dean.
