The court confirmed Muhammad Abacha as the Kano governorship candidate in the PDP party

The Federal High Court in Kano state in northern Nigeria has ruled that Muhammad Abacha is the governorship candidate of the PDP party.
Justice AM Liman made the decision on Thursday.
He said that the party that conducted the nomination election at Lugard Road was the legitimate election of the PDP governorship candidate.
Since the departure of Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, the conflict has escalated in the Kano PDP party to the extent that there has been division in the selection process for the gubernatorial candidate.
Aminu Wali's faction has fielded its candidate Sadiq Wali while Shehu Sagagi's faction has fielded Muhammad Abacha as its candidate.
