Beth Shuey — Sean Payton's Ex-Wife's Life Before And After Their Divorce Explained

NFL head coach Sean Payton's ex-wife Beth Shuey is an attorney and a former teacher. Her popularity increased with the release of "Home Team" despite the fact that she has a low-key existence in spite of this choice. Listed below are the facts that have been uncovered regarding Shuey.
The sports comedy film "Home Team," directed by Daniel and Charles Kinnane, is loosely based on the life of NFL head coach Sean Payton.

Payton's life with Beth Shuey, his ex-wife of nearly two decades, was mentioned, but not further explored. Shuey's professional highlights include his time with the New Orleans Saints and other notable companies. They divorced in 2012, which was a sad year for everyone.

BETH SHUEY IS A SIMPLE GIRL FROM INDIANA

Shuey was raised in the little town of Morocco, Indiana. The North Newton Junior-Senior High School was her first educational stop, and she eventually graduated in 1986. Soon after, Shuey went to college at Indiana State University, where she earned a degree in marketing.
After completing his degree, Shuey relocated to Indianapolis in order to enter the business sales industry. Ex-husband claims she was "beautiful" and "clever," so it's hardly surprising they got married.
Shuey is a wife and a mother of two little children. She made sure her children never thought their connection to her had been severed, even though she had already separated from Payton.

BETH SHUEY'S 20-YEAR MARRIAGE TO SEAN PAYTON BEGAN AT INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY

During her time as a student at Indiana State University in the 1990s, Shuey and Payton first crossed paths. He soon began dating Shuey and working at the school as a coach for the running backs and wide receivers. After dating for a while, Shuey and Payton tied the knot on July 11, 1992, according to the author's book. Yet it wasn't until 1997 that they became parents to a daughter they called Meghan, and then in 2000 to a son they named Connor. There they were, supporting one another while the coach's career took off.
As Payton took over as head coach of the New Orleans Saints, the family uprooted and settled in Mandeville. They were living a normal life until the Bountygate story broke. They were married for almost 20 years until they finally decided to separate.
In 2012, the couple petitioned a court in Tarrant County, Texas, for a divorce. Just a few months before their 20th wedding anniversary, they decided to divorce.
Divorce papers cited "discord or conflict of personalities between Petitioner and Respondent that ruins the legitimate purposes of the marriage partnership and hinders any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."

BETH SHUEY AND SEAN PAYTON'S CHILDREN

Shuey is quite involved with Meghan's children, to the point where she frequently appears in Meghan's social media posts. Her mother and daughter appear to share a special affinity, as many of her postings feature them engaging in fun outdoor activities together.
As of recently, Meghan may also be seen working in the sports world, this time as a reporter for Sports Gild. She used to be the Saints' sideline reporter.
Meghan and "Home Team" author Christopher Titone got engaged in 2022. She tweeted her happy news along with pictures of the ring.
While she had a public high school experience, her brother Connor had a more private upbringing. The Twitter account he uses, however, may provide some insight into the fact that he played professional football and attended Texas Christian University.
Connor shares his father's passion for basketball, and the two of them are often spotted at games together. The two have a strong friendship and a shared love of the New Orleans Pelicans, neither of which they have ever discussed publicly.

BETH SHUEY HAS FOUND HAPPINESS IN HER NEW MARRIAGE

In the years since Shuey has found new love and moved on with her life. On September 20, 2020, she wed James McGuire, a realtor in Raleigh, North Carolina who focuses on properties in golf course communities.
Since she married McGuire, Shuey has become a stepmother to his two children, whom she loves as if they were her own. They're both buried in Raleigh, NC. It has been said that Shuey was a coach and a CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate).
Another book of hers is titled "Beautiful Ashes," which she describes as "a novel about anyone standing in the ashes of their past seeking for hope." Some people can't wait to read Shuey's book because she is obviously very gifted in many areas.
Jaclyn Stein, an artist and businesswoman who is married to Ariel Helwani, is one of many women who have helped their husbands succeed. She, like Shuey, contributed to the creation of the book "Mirth Meets Earth" by serving as the book's illustrator.
Stein is the creative director for the jewelry companies owned by her family. Her accomplishments have shown other women that they, too, can be successful while also caring for their families. Unlike Shuey, Stein is very content in her marriage.
