Ganduje Appointed 12 New Chief Secretaries
The governor of Kano, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has appointed 12 new chief secretaries of ministries who will start working immediately.
In a statement signed by the governor's press secretary, Abba Anwar, the governor said that all the new secretaries had to go through various screening processes, before giving them the position.
The announcement also said that they will be sworn in on Thursday at the state government house at 2:00 in the afternoon.
Those who were given the position include Engineer Masur Yakubu, former Director in the Ministry of Works; Salisu Dan Azumi, Director at the Ministry of Local Authorities; Saadatu Sa'idu Bala, former Director at the Ministry of Health.
Others include the former Secretary of the Board of Management of Science and Technology Schools, Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi; Baba Sharu Dala, Director of the Commission for Receiving Complaints; Aliyu Yakaubu, Director of the State Tourism Office.
Also there is Abbas Sanusi, Dr. Tijjani Hussain, former Secretary of the Sha Ka Tafi Hospitals Board; Nuhu Amasaye former Director at the Ministry of Local Authorities; Aisha Kailani; Mustapha Madaki Huguma; then Musa Tanko Garko from the office of the Chief of Staff of the state.
