I did not leave PDP, said the Deputy Governor of Sokoto

 The Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Mannir Daniya has denied rumors that he has left the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

 A statement signed by the director of media in the office of the deputy governor, Aminu Abdullahi Abubakar, described the rumors as baseless.

 She added that "Hon Mannir Daniya is still a member of the PDP, and he continues to emphasize his support for it."

 Rumors of the deputy governor's departure from the PDP came after the departure of one of his close associates, Ummarun Kwabo, from the party.
