Katsina State Requests Men To Pay Two And A Half Million Naira As Deposit For This Year's Hajj

The Chairman of the Katsina State Pilgrims Commission, Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu Kuki, has ordered pilgrims for this year's pilgrimage to pay 2.5 million naira as a minimum deposit.

Alhaji Suleiman Nuhu-Kuki said that the pilgrims will pay the money through the commission, until the time when the National Pilgrims Commission will announce the exact cost of this year's Hajj.

While addressing the media in Katsina city, the head of the commission said that the country's pilgrim commission has allocated 4,913 seats to the state for this year's hajj.

"After Saudi Arabia allocated 95,000 seats to Nigeria, the National Hajj Committee allocated 4,913 seats to Katsina state".

"And the governor has given the order to distribute the seats to the 34 local governments across our state to start the Hajj program for the people of the state," said Alhaji Nuhu-Kuki.

"All those who have the opportunity to pay their fees, should use this opportunity to pay their savings on time, because the person who pays first will be considered when it comes to registration."

Sulaiman Nuhu Kuki added that soon his agency will start organizing workshops for men in different parts of the state.
