The Sultan of Islam Requests President Buhari To Take Action On The Financial Reform Issue
His Eminence, the Sultan of Nigeria, Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to take immediate measures to overcome the suffering of the people due to the financial reform to avoid rebellion.
The Punch newspaper reported that the Sultan expressed his disappointment on Monday over the incident where he expressed his concern that the people have fallen into a state of hunger and depression due to the change of currency.
The problem of the sound of the currency has become more serious among the people after reports show that the mouths have stopped answering the old currency notes of 200, 500, and 1,000 nairas.
Last Wednesday, the Supreme Court of the country prevented the Central Bank of the country from implementing its plan to ban the use of the old currency on the 10th of February until it decides in the country that the governors of Kaduna, Kogi, and Zamfara state input on the matter.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, the Supreme Court said it will decide on the case filed by the governors of the three states.
The states of Kano, Naija, Ekiti, and Ondo have also joined the three states where they filed a case before the Supreme Court on the issue of the currency change.
