Apple will launch an M3-powered iMac this year: Mark Gurman
The second half of this year may be the earliest that Apple releases a new iMac, according to a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Even though the new iMac is rumored to have a 24-inch display, a more powerful M3 chip manufactured using a 3nm technology is anticipated.
Despite the fact that the new iMac won't likely begin mass production for at least three months, Gurman notes that it may still start showing up in stores in the second half of this year in the same color schemes as its predecessor, including blue, silver, pink, and orange. According to Gurman, the new iMac is "in an advanced level of development" and Apple is "conducting production tests of the computer." This is consistent with past Gurman rumors that the iMac would be released in 2023.
Gurman also disclosed that some internal iMac components may be "relocated and reconfigured," as well as that the production process for joining the iMac's stand to the monitor is "different." Long overdue is an iMac upgrade. The company's own silicon, combined with a larger display size and a number of new colors, is first shown in the 2021 model.
