Avoid Inciting Speech --- NSCIA Council For Politicians Say, Sultan
The Supreme Council of Islamic Religion under the leadership of the Holy Sultan has warned against the words of raising awareness about the Presidential Election that was held on Saturday.
The council has warned Nigerian politicians to stop saying inflammatory words, which can cause conflicts and instability in the country.
This is contained in a statement issued by the NSCIA Council on Tuesday, signed by the Deputy Secretary General and Director of Administration, Professor Salisu Shehu and Architect Zubairu Haruna Usman-Ugwu.
The statement said, although baseless statements can be ignored easily, but this is not the case from political and religious leaders who are considered valuable.
The council also urged all Nigerians to calm down and continue to pray for the country.
