Boys, aged 7 and 9, were discovered dead in their bedroom after being "strangled to death," while their mother was found hanging at the family home.
An inquest heard today that TWO boys were discovered strangled to death in their bedroom, while their mother was found hanging.
Together with Alexander, 9, and Maximus, 7, Nadja De Jager, 47, was discovered dead at home in Belvedere, South East London.
On March 9, police were called to the family's home due to an allegation of concern for the wellbeing.
Police verified that no one else is being sought in connection with the horror.
Today's inquest heard testimony about how Alexander was lying on the floor close to Maximus when he was discovered dead on the bed.
Their father officially identified their bodies.
A ligature compression of the neck was listed as the tentative cause of death during a post mortem, pending additional research.
Dental records allowed for the identification of Nadja, who passed away from "suspension".
Prior to a full hearing, which has not yet been scheduled, the inquiry was suspended.
Before her spouse left as a director, Nadja—who knew Croatian, Spanish, and English—had co-run her real estate business with him.
Tragically, just months before they were discovered dead, heartbreaking videos of the two brothers playing at home surfaced online.
After learning of the terrible finding, condolences poured in for the family.
One touching note said: "To the family of Alex and Maxy. Our sincere condolences for the death of your lovely babies and their mother. We are considering you. I adore Mandalas.
"I shall miss you in class and when we played games," their son Noah wrote. Love to Noah, bye.
Alexander and Maximus, two "kind and caring" students at Belvedere Infant and Junior School, received praise as well.
"Alex and Max were absolutely excellent members of our school community, and we will remember them with tremendous warmth and love," the school stated in a statement.
They were kind, loving boys who genuinely wanted to learn.
They were both model students, and it was obvious that they were one another's greatest friends.
Both students and faculty alike will deeply miss them, and Belvedere will always have a special place in our hearts for them.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and their friends during this trying time. We will provide information about a suitable memorial for the boys at Belvedere in due course.
"For the moment, our top goal has been to set up the staff and children with the support they need to cope with what has transpired, especially through specialized counseling.
"The loss of any kind is a sad tragedy, but our school community will unite to support one another during this difficult time.
We will get through this together because Belvedere is a warm and friendly place.
