BREAKING: The Electoral Commission INEC has extended seven days for the governorship election which will be held on Saturday to the 18th of this month of March, 2023.

It has been stated that the postponement of the election follows the failure of the commission to reform the voter identification machines (BVAS) that were used in the presidential and federal assembly elections that will be held on the 25th of February, to be able to use them in the state election.

Sources told Aminiya that INEC is currently holding a meeting where it is considering either March 18 or March 25 to hold the election.

However, it was reported that March 18 was chosen.

"You know that the reformation of BVAS will take three or four days and since they will all be taken to the headquarters in Abuja, the machines will be reformed and taken to different states and finally to the polling stations," said one.
