Buhari Congratulates Tinubu on Winning Nigeria's Presidential Election

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated APC candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu for winning the presidential election, after competing with 17 candidates from different parties.
The spokesperson of President Buhari, Malam Garba, told the president that the people voted for Tinubu because of his qualifications to lead Nigeria, saying that he will now start working with him to prepare for the transfer of power.
The president described the Nigerian election as the biggest in Africa, where he hoped it would be an example in the West African region that has experienced setbacks and military coups in recent years.
According to Buhari, the way this year's election went is an indication of the strengthening of democracy in the most populous country in Africa, noting how many states have changed their stance from the ruling parties to a different one like Katsina state which She voted for PDP and Lagos, the birthplace of the president-elect, who voted for Bola Tinubu.
