According to Pink News, RuPaul revealed to Hollywood Today Live in March 2017 that he and his longtime lover, Georges LeBar, secretly wed in January on their 23rd anniversary. "I met him on the dance floor at Limelight in 1994 on his birthday, therefore we were married on his birthday, the anniversary of when we met, this year in January," the legendary drag queen remarked.
RuPaul pondered on his marriage to Georges and called him a "wonderful person" who is uninterested in stardom. "Most of the time he's on the ranch in Wyoming," RuPaul said. For those who don't know, Georges manages a 60,000-acre ranch.
While the pair had no intention of getting married, RuPaul revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the outcome of the 2016 presidential election had changed their minds about taking their relationship to the next level.
"We reasoned that we didn't need to get married. But then, in light of what's going on in Washington and the rest of the globe, we decided, what the heck? Let's do it. Let's simply do it because our businesses are at risk too much, therefore that's why we did it "He provided an explanation.
After saying their vows, RuPaul was sure that their daily lives would remain the same: "That paper don't mean nothin'!" he said to Entertainment Tonight. "Nothing can alter your devotion to a person. And after 23 years, well, I know him. He is familiar with me. I adore him. He is my favorite person I have ever met on the earth."

He was born and raised in the "Land Down Under," but later traveled to different parts of the world to study fashion and design. Georges has attended schools in Miami, New York, and Paris, according to his official website. He describes his work as a "reference from my background [and] comparing it to the present; art is about investigating life for me." He is also a skilled painter.
Georges chooses a life away from the spotlight, while his husband does well in show business. He apparently spends his time caring for his roughly 60,000-acre ranch in Wyoming. His grandpa, who managed a prosperous sheep and cattle farm for many years, is said to have left him the LeBar Ranch, according to The Guardian.
There have been rumors that oil firms may be fracking on the 60,000-acre property, but neither Georges nor RuPaul have responded to the claims in the media. The couple, according to their neighbors, presumably has little control over whether fracking takes place on their land.
