How Atiku's PDP Defeated Itself In The Presidential Election

The Chairman of the National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu has declared Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC as the president-elect, who has successfully won the 2023 election.

Tinubu beat the other 17 candidates, after getting 8,794,726 votes.  In other words, his votes are more than those of any candidate.

And he got 25 percent in 30 states, more than the 24 states that the electoral law says the winner must get.

The election showed that the three of Atiku, Obi and Kwankwaso got 14.5 million votes.

This shows that if the PDP had not been divided into three groups, it would have been able to win over the APC in this election, because they even showed the APC the majority of the three votes.

It is worth noting that the other major candidates, namely Atiku, Kwankwaso and Peter Obi, were divided by the party conflict and lack of consultation, everyone was in front of him, unity was impossible, APC won the election.

The Governor of Anambra, Charles Soludo said that Obi will not win the election, his candidacy is a boon for Tinubu of APC, because Obi has only been destroying PDP.

"If I were Tinubu, even with the campaign money, I would have to help Obi with them.  Because the PDP is doing harm, but it will not win the election."  Soludo said.

The Chairman of INEC announced the results of the election almost at dawn on Wednesday, he said that Atiku Abubakar of PDP came second with 6,984,520 votes.

Peter Obi of LP came third with 6,101,503 votes, while Rabi'u Kwankwaso of NNPP came fourth with 1,496,687 votes.

Yakubu said Tinubu will be given a certificate of election victory at 3 o'clock on Wednesday at the Election Results Collection Centre.

Tinubu won Rivers, Barno, Jigawa, Zamfara, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo and Ogun.

Atiku won Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Gombe, Yobe, Bauchi, Taraba, Adamawa and Akwa Ibom, Osun and Bayelsa.

Peter Obi won Cross Riba, Delta, Lagos, FCT, Plateau, Imo, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Anambra, Abia, and Enugu.

 Kwankwaso won only Kano.
