Kashim Shettima paid former Nigerian leaders a visit.
At the Niger State capital of Minna, Senator Kashim Shettima, the freshly elected vice president of Nigeria, paid a visit to Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar.
Shettima called the outgoing authorities "elders and fathers of the country" and promised that the new administration would cooperate with them to advance the nation.
Shettima declared, "We will keep in touch with them whenever necessary to get suggestions on how to address the issues the nation is experiencing.
Later, he led his group in welcoming Dr. Umar Farouq Bahago, the Emir of Minna, where prayers for national tranquility were said.
