The coalition of the ruling APC party in Nigeria has elected the former governor of Zamfara state and the elected senator of Zamfara West, Dr. Abdul'aziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) as a candidate for the position of President of the Senate of Nigeria (10 Assembly).
The Amalgamated Support Group of APC, a coalition of about 2,400 supporters of the APC, has approved the candidacy of Abdul'aziz Yari Abubakar as the President of the Senate in the 10th Assembly.
In front of the representatives of all the organizations and their directors, the director general of Amalgamated, Engr. Dr. Kailani stated this at their head office yesterday, March 24, 2023. The President said that their support was based on the vast experience and qualities of the former Governor's leadership which, God willing, will have a positive impact in moving the country forward. . He also appealed to all the senators of the 10th Assembly to support Sen Yari on this position.
From yesterday Friday the 24th of March 2023, the groups that support Amalgamated will continue to support the success of the Honorable Governor Abdul'aziz Yari Abubakar to lead the 10th Parliament as the President of the Senate.
