As Brian McKnight and his wife Leilani Malia Mendoza share the happy news that they are having a baby, some fans want to know more about the singer's wife.

This week, the singer of the hit song "Back at One" and his wife announced that they are expecting a child.

Brian and Leilani both had kids from previous relationships before they got married in 2017. Their news about the little feet is even more touching because they just lost their newborn son, Kekoa Matteo.

The singer and his wife posted on Instagram on Thursday (November 11) that they are going to have a baby. The couple posted a set of photos with the same message that they were "ecstatic" to share the news that they were having a baby.

McKnight wrote, "To my lovely wife, you are everything to me, my hero, and the reason I live. I love you so much, baby."

She repeated, "To my rock, the perfect husband and father... because you are his father, our baby is the luckiest child in the world." I will always love you, Boopy."

Before the posts, the couple had made a series of Instagram posts that hinted at the news. When put together, the posts showed a picture of the singer kissing her belly.

According to Sportskeeda, the singer has two sons and a daughter from previous relationships. Mendoza has a son and a daughter who are her own.

This year, the couple announced that they were going to have a son. They named him Kekoa Matteo. But sadly, he died just after he was born. 

THEY CELEBRATED 4th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY LAST YEAR

Brian and Leilani got married on December 31, 2017, and this year is their fifth wedding anniversary.

On their last anniversary, Leilani posted a video from their wedding day on Instagram and wrote about how their relationship has changed over the past four years.

She wrote in the caption, "Four years ago, I married the man of my dreams, a man I still look at with wide-eyed wonder and love, just like when we first met."

The couple, who had been together since 2014, got married in the summer of 2017 just a few months after announcing their engagement.

While appearing on the Tamron Hall Show last year, Brian reflected on how he had evolved as a person since meeting Leilani. He said, "Everything about me that I think makes me the best person ever can be traced back to the fact that I found Leilani."
