1.3 million people went to Saudi Arabia

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah said that the cities of Makkah and Madinah have received a large number of pilgrims from foreign countries this month.

Dr. Tawfiq said that so far there have been 1.3 million pilgrims in the two major cities of the country.

The minister said that progress is being made in the transportation of worshipers and the improvement of worship services, especially in the two most sacred mosques in the country.

"We are doing our best to create a good environment for the enjoyment of the pilgrims in Mecca and Medina," he said.

"We are always promoting the two cities, and there are more than 100 historical sites between the two cities," he said.

The minister said that more than two million people are expected to perform the Hajj this year.
