4.3 million people will suffer from hunger in the states of Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe - MDD

The United Nations Food Program has warned that there are 4.3 million people who will suffer from severe hunger in the states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, all in the northeastern part of Nigeria.

The program stated this in a statement he released, regarding a report he compiled on the severe hunger in the sub-Saharan region.

The WFP has expressed concern that years of armed conflict could plunge Nigeria into hunger and starvation, as millions of people rely on food aid and are at risk of starvation. .

"About 600,000 people are on the verge of falling into this disaster.

People will face emergency situations due to lack of food, and severe malnutrition and mortality due to lack of aid," the program said.
