African nations are pulling their citizens out of Sudan.
At the same time as there is a concern for a civil war - when the army and the RSF troops are vying for power - African states are simultaneously removing their diplomats and other citizens from Sudan.
Some of the nations that have announced the evacuation of some of their residents include South Africa, Kenya, Mali, the Ivory Coast, and Uganda. Eritrea has promised to open its airspace so that people can be evacuated.
Students from the African International University in Khartoum landed in Nairobi last night (Monday) on a jet operated by the Kenyan Air Force.
More than 200 nationals of Uganda have been transported by road from Khartoum to the town of Gonder in northern Ethiopia, where they will go to Kampala.
In recent days, over 9,000 refugees have also entered South Sudan.
In the meantime, the UN relocated some of its employees from Sudan to nearby nations.
