 BBC CEO Richard Sharp Resigns After Being Charged with Code of Conduct

 BBC CEO Richard Sharp has announced his resignation after a report found him guilty of breaching the Code of Conduct.

 In a statement released ahead of the publication of the report, Sharp said Adam Heppinstall KC, who chaired the inquiry, concluded that "my breach of duty on the rolls will not disqualify me."

 Sharp said he would resign to protect the interests of the BBC.

 He said he will remain in his position until the end of June when a replacement will be sought.
