Femi Adesina Says Buhari's Illness Has Brought His Government To A Full

The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media Affairs, Femi Adesina, has said that the President's illness in 2017 caused his administration to be disabled for eight months in his administration.

Adesina disclosed this on Monday while talking to Channels Television.

Adesina, who explained the achievements of Buhari's administration during the interview, said the president spent eight months in England in 2017.

“When he started getting sick in January 2017, he came back in March, he came back again in April and he didn't come back until August 19.

"This treatment lasted eight months without him doing anything.  Of course, no one would like that but the happy thing is that he later recovered."

However, he said that despite this setback, President Buhari will leave this country better than he found it.

Adesina stated that in 2015 when Buhari took over, 17 local governments were in the hands of terrorists, but his government later recovered them after taking over.

Regarding the economy, he pointed out that Nigeria now has different economic strengths as a result of the efforts of the Buhari government.

Hadimin said that despite the challenges faced by Buhari's government apart from the illness he has been suffering for eight months, he has done great work to come to see me.

If it is not forgotten, in the recent past political commentators believe that Buhari has failed to fulfill his promise to lift millions of Nigerians out of poverty.
