 Hemedti stated that as long as the bombing in Sudan continues, there will be no talks.

The military commander in charge of the RSF troops, one of the generals engaged in combat in Sudan, told the BBC that he will not hold discussions with anyone until the war there is resolved.

General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, also known as Hemedti, claimed that since the decision to extend the cease-fire, his fighters have started "throwing" bombs.

He began by saying, "We don't want to see Sudan destroyed," and then charged General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan with encouraging an uprising.

General Burhan has affirmed that he will consent to them having in-person discussions in South Sudan.
