Manchester City beat Fulham and went top of the Premier League table, while Haaland scored his 50th goal in all the games he played for City this season.
Haaland's penalty - in the third minute after a foul on Alvarez - made him the first Premier League player to score 50 goals in a season since Tom 'Pongo' Waring who did this feat in the Aston Villa team in 1931.
With this feat, the Norwegian player has now equaled Andy Cole and Alan Shearer's record of scoring 34 goals in the Premier League in one season.
Fulham had a chance to score in the 15th minute, but in the 36th minute, Alvarez put City in front again, after hitting a ball from 25 yards, where the game started.
The victory gave City the opportunity to climb to the top of the Premier League and move one point between them and Arsenal while City has a game in hand.
