South Sudan has sent more troops to Congo
On Monday, the government of South Sudan sent 300 more soldiers to its neighbor the Democratic Republic of the Congo under the coalition of regional countries.
They will be part of the East African forces fighting the M23 rebel group.
This brings the number of South Sudanese soldiers to over 1,000 in the country, according to the country's defense minister, General Chol Thon Balok.
The soldiers will be sent to Goma - the regional army headquarters. They will be replaced after one year.
South Sudan is the latest country to join the seven-nation force that was established in June last year to ensure peace in eastern Congo.
