The conflict in Sudan can turn the world upside down - Abdallah Hamdok

The former Prime Minister of Sudan, Abdallah Hamdok, warned that the country's lack of security could be similar to that of Syria and Libya.

Mr. Hamdok said this while there are reports of airstrikes on areas under the control of RSF forces in Khartoum.

Both warring parties accuse each other of violating the ceasefire agreement. Thousands of people fled their homes as a result of the war.

The former Prime Minister described the war as irrational and said that it is a war in which no one will win, except for the loss of many lives that will result.

He said there is a need for the international community to work together to seat the leaders of the warring forces in the country and the leader of the RSF forces at the reconciliation table to end the war.
