The elected governor of Zamfara, Dauda Lawal, has established a committee to take over


 Currently, the elected governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, has selected 60 people to be in the committee to take over from the outgoing government.


 On Wednesday, the announcement came from the media office of the new governor where the chief officer in the office, Sulaiman Bala Idris, signed the announcement and said that the committee is expected to discuss with the outgoing government led by the governor.  Bello Matawalle on preparations to take over power on May 29, 2023.


 The former head of the Nigeria Police Force, MD Abubakar CFR, will chair the committee while Dr. Hamza Mohammed will be the secretary of the committee.


 Among the members of the committee are the former Zamfara State Chief of Staff, Mujitaba Isah Gusau;  Colonel Bala Mande (retired);  Professor Abubakar Aliyu Liman;  Barista Nura Ibrahim Zarumi;  Barista Bello Galadi, and others.


 The members of the committee were gathered from experienced public servants and those who have retired from many sectors of society to be on the committee.


 The main task of the committee, according to the statement, is to create an atmosphere and organize discussions and come up with a system of taking power from the outgoing government to the new government without any problems.


 The committee will also review the activities of government ministries and agencies and note how they have spent government funds and other matters.


 The launch date of the committee will be announced later.
