The Lahore High Court has set a date to hear the contempt case against the Chief Election Commissioner and other ECP members.

The Lahore High Court will hear a case against CEC and ECP members for contempt.

The Lahore High Court will hear a contempt case against the Chief Election Commissioner and other Election Commission of Pakistan members for putting off the Punjab Assembly elections, which were supposed to happen on April 30.

Advocate Muhammad Shahid Rana filed the petition. He says that the ECP broke the court order by changing the polling date, even though the LHC said that the elections had to be held within 90 days. The petitioner also said that the ECP changed the date of the election at the request of PDM, which is the same as disrespecting the court. The hearing is set for Monday, April 3, and LHC Judge Justice Jawad Hassan will be in charge.
