Current reports indicate that the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, plans to appoint the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, to a top position as soon as he takes office.

The information shows that Tinubu is planning to replace Gbajabiamila with the position of Chief of Staff of his palace when he is sworn in on Monday, May 29, 2023.

This Day report said, prominent people like Wale Edun, the former finance commissioner in Lagos state and the current governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu, are among the names Tinubu has earmarked for the top post.

Some sources have revealed that the names of Mr. Edun and Atiku Bagudu have been removed from the economic team in Tinubu's government as he approaches his swearing-in.
