The Ondo State House of Assembly Speaker is being sued by the EFCC for alleged fraud.

Rt. Horn Bamidele Oloyelogun, Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly in South West Nigeria, has been sued by the Economic Fraud Commission (EFCC) in front of the state high court in Akure.

The MP and two other people are charged with money laundering, although both men have refuted the charges.

Kingsley Kudus, the attorney for the EFCC, requested that the three men remain in the Akure prison until the matter is heard.

Even if the defendants refuted the accusations, according to him, they are nonetheless under the court's supervision while the case is pending.

Barrister Femi Emodamori, the accused's attorney, informed the court that he is prepared to begin the trial.

Additionally, he requested that the court disregard the EFCC attorney's request to retain his clients in the house of detention by arguing that the bail application form that they completed was legally accurate.

He also mentioned that one of the guys he is guarding has a medical issue that needs immediate attention.

Finally, the man was granted bail by Judge Adegboyega Adebusoye, who also postponed the case until next May 18th.
