10 Nollywood actors who are very popular in Nigeria in 2022
Nigerian films are getting more and more famous, and people outside of Africa are watching them, especially in Latin American countries like Surinam.
In 2015, Nollywood started working with Netflix to make it easier for people around the world to watch their films.
Over the years, Nollywood grew quickly and became an important part of the Nigerian economy. Nollywood is one of the most important businesses in the country because it employs more than a million people. With 1,000 to 1,500 films made each year, it's an important way for Nigeria to make money, bringing in about 590 million dollars each year.
But here are the most famous Nigerian actors and actresses who have been at the top of Nollywood for a long time or are at the top right now and have stayed popular over the years.
1. Pete Edochie
Edochie, MON is thought to be one of the best players in Africa. He has won both an Industry Merit Award from Africa Magic and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Africa Film Academy.
