54 people died in the Indian clan war.

The tribe conflict in the northeastern part of India has killed 54 people as of this Saturday. A new fight broke out the night before, despite the fact that thousands of security personnel were sent there to restore order.

After a protest by a tribe turned into a fight on Wednesday, the government sent thousands of soldiers to the state of Manipur.

The army has also been given permission to shoot directly if the situation doesn't improve. Internet access has already been shut down.

But this riot started on Friday night, just a few hours after the state police chief said that protesters had stolen guns and ammunition from police stations.

According to the local news, at least 54 dead people are in hospitals in the state.

This state of Manipur is well-known for its ethnic conflicts. Since the mid-1950s, at least 50,000 people are thought to have died because of these kinds of ethnic conflicts.
